I'm really pleased to have found this author, he has an engaging and really unpretentious writing style and explains his subject very clearly.I tried the techniques in the book on pretty unimportant issues, just to see, and they worked very well,so I tried them on another issue that was important but not ' loaded' and that worked as well,I am certainly going to continue with this authors work because it gives results and that is the only thing that interests me and can hold my attention.Really worthwhile.Product details

This book offers many insights for the student to consider. Many insights to ponder, and many variations on technique and concepts that can prove to be a valuable body of knowledge from which to make a good start in the processes of self knowledge and learning. It's a fine tool for the aspiring learner. I just wish it had gone on and on.

I liked it. I'm always on the lookout for new techniques and there was some I haven't come across before.
For the most part I feel Sigil Magick The Basics offers the reader an okay introduction to sigils, though, by no means exhaustive. His instructions mesh with the prevailing Spare traditions and approaches without offering much more than can be found on the internet.
He does go over different materials that can be used for making sigils, but it seems to me these were added in to fill space. That in fact, it would have been better to just give us a list of the different materials we can use paper, wood, wax, clay, powder, string, and metal. Adding to these we can say bark, stones, tile, glass, plastic, colored sand, or anything for that matter.
While I found a few interesting things in Leonte's book, for the most part, everything Leonte shares is to be found in Frater U.D.'s Practical Sigil Magic Creating Personal Symbols for Success. Even so, if you have the money, Leonte's book does have a few things not found in other books, and for the price, it's worth a read.

Very informative and easy to follow and put into practice.
I had assumed that sigils were some defined, pre-existing set of symbols that one could learn. According to the author, they can be created uniquely for each purpose. This gives sigils more of a DIY aspect than I was expecting.
